Scotland

7 to 14 September, 2026

Cohosted with Stephanie Eburah of Ebb & Co.

When we first started talking about a visit to Scotland our Irish friends had us watch “I Know Where I’m Going”, a classic film from 1945 that tells the tale of Joan, who heads to Scotland intent on marrying an aging tycoon and ends up trapped on an island by a fearsome storm. In the end, she remains on the island, trpped by the power of a local curse, or perhaps it was love? The message from our friends, we think, was that Scotland may give you something different than you expect, and may keep you, or at minimum a part of your heart, for the rest of time.

Our friends weren’t wrong. On our first visit, spent over Christmas and New Years, we fell in love with a cocker spaniel, swam in the sea in the lashing rain, drank whisky every night and vowed we would be back as soon as we could manage it. We’re happy to return to this storied land, and to explore it together with you.

She’s spent most of the last seven years in airplane mode, crisscrossing the globe with her family while producing events in remarkable locations, and designing travel for clients along the way. For Taryn, travel is about finding those creative and inspired people who call a destination home. From artists and chefs to designers, farmers and producers, Taryn’s ability to discern and share in the work of these passionate creators helps open doors that are otherwise closed, and creates the space for experiences that are about friendship, sharing and true connection. Taryn and her family now call Mallorca home, though they are still often on the move.

Stephanie Eburah is a chef and founder of The Tide Run. Though she has a background in photography, Stephanie has been cooking professionally for the past 25 years and focuses on building relationships with the stewards of the land and sea while highlighting local seasonal ingredients in simple ways, but always with an eye for beauty. She spends her spare time travelling with her family and shares our passion for curiosity, connectedness and slowing down. She also loves a good sea swim.

Welcome to Scotland! Our journey begins with check-in and welcome dinner at Ballintagaart, a working farm and exceptional lodgings in highland Perthshire. This will be our homebase for the first portion of our trip.

Meals included: dinner with wine

Day 2- Tuesday

After breakfast we’ll move slowly into the day with a yoga session for those interested, followed by some time with in the woodshop with a local craftsperson. We’ll have lunch with a natural cidermaker followed by a hike among the moors, and end the day with dinner back at the farm.

Day 3- Wednesday

The day begins again with a farm breakfast, followed by exploration of nearby Dunkeld, a jewel of a town, with a distillery visit in the afternoon and dinner and traditional live music at the famous Tayside, on the banks of the river Tay. We’ll head back to the farm for a nightcap before heading to bed.

After breakfast we’ll travel overland to Edinburgh for a day of wandering, meeting in the afternoon for a lesson in cheesemaking with one of our favourite artesans. In the afternoon we’ll check into the legendary Fife Arms hotel, and take our time to explore the enchanting rooms and extensive art collection. Dinner will be in the hotel’s celebrated dining room.

Day 6- Saturday

After enjoying breakfast and a slow morning at the hotel we’ll head for adventure. A boat ride on the loch, a cold river swim and sauna to follow. Dinner will be at a nearby award-winning seafood restaurant, then back to the hotel for sharing stories on our last night.

Lodging

Ballintagaart Farm will be our homebase for the first portion of our stay. This luxury farmhouse stay is part of a small curation of Perthshire projects run by brothers Chris and Andrew Rowley, and represents some of the best of rural Scottish hospitality. Though Ballintagaart feels remote and private, it is perfectly located for exploring, from some of the highlands’ most cherished towns and most interesting projects to bustling and romantic Edinburgh.

For our second stay we’ll move further into the Cairngorm Mountains to the legendary Fife Arms. The hotel is a functional gallery, with an invigorating take on vintage Scottish interior design hosting a collection of work from artists like Picasso and Man Ray. The Fife Arms is a stone’s throw from some of Scotland’s most famous castles, though it may be hard to pull ourselves from the whisky library that is the hotel’s Bertie’s Bar. What draws us most, though, is the famed warmth of the Fife’s hospitality, and the feeling that you are absorbing a most cherished version of Scottish culture.

ALL are welcome at our gatherings, all orientations, races and configurations. As long as you share our common values of respect for each other, respect for our host community, curiosity and humility, you are part of our family.
